On the Holy Prophet 's death bed, Prophet Muhammad stated, according to both Sunni and Shia ahadith: "I am leaving among you two weighty things (thaqalayn). The first of the two is the Book of Allah, a rope stretched from heaven to earth; In it is guidance and light and the second being my AhlulBayt (family) for continuous guidance. I urge you to remember God regarding my Ahlulbayt, I urge you to remember God regarding my AhlulBayt, I urge you to remember God regarding my AhlulBayt/Family!! (He Repeated 3 times) for these two shall not separate until they reach me by the river of Al-Kawthar (in heaven)."

Brothers and Sisters we must ask ourselves, have we honoured the Prophet's request? Have we held onto the two weighty things that he requested us to? May we be among those classified on the day of resurrection, as the followers of Prophet Muhammad and his purified progeny (AhlulBayt) .
"Verily, Allah intends to keep off from you every kind of uncleanness, O' you the people of the house (AhlulBayt), and purify you with a thorough purification.." {Al-Quran: 33:33}
Salawat 3ala Muhammad Wa Aale Muhammad!
When we examine intercession we must understand it in two parts. The first part is Wasilla (someone who is a bridge or link between you and Allah in the world.) The second part is Shafa3a, (someone who intercedes for you on the day of judgement.) Our wasilah or means of access to Allah (SWT) are the Holy Prophet and his Holy household.
